Many of the challenges health care systems face are fundamentally economic. Introduction to Health Economics (MD990) aims to provide a solid foundation of economic concepts and tools with a view to understanding how these can be used to answer various questions. Such questions may relate to appropriate ways of financing health care systems, methods for measuring public preference of health care outcomes, or, importantly, optimal ways of allocating our limited resources to existing and new interventions and technologies.
