Welcome to Block 4! This block will introduce you to the structure, function and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and their functional, clinical and social impact. You will also learn how to examine the musculoskeletal system and communicate with patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
2016 Cohort Block 4
This block will introduce you to the structure, function and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and their functional, clinical and social impact. You will also learn how to examine the musculoskeletal system and communicate with patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
2018 Cohort Block 1
This block introduces you to the key physiological processes of metabolism and homeostasis, along with social and biomedical concepts of health. It will cover the knowledge and skills to allow you to explore what is normal, before considering the abnormal processes that give rise to disease.
Focusing on the normal structure and function of the gastrointestinal and urinary systems, the block will illustrate cellular physiology and pathology, metabolism and endocrinology. It also introduces you to the skills of physical examination and effective communication with patients.
2017 Cohort
This block introduces you to the key social concepts and physiological processes of metabolism and homeostasis. It will deliver the knowledge and skills to allow you to explore and learn about what is normal and what is health, before considering the abnormal processes that give rise to disease.
