Revision planning
This should be a sharing of ideas rather than a tutor taught session. Ask what has worked for them in the past, any revision tips they have, how might they approach open book exams, how does this differ from previous exam formats, what might they need to consider?
Discuss exam anxiety/stress – what strategies have students found to overcome this? Again, create discussion rather than tutor led information. We don’t have to have the answers. Facilitate and prompt as necessary. Signpost to note taking/revision and essay planning/critical writing information in the PS117 lectures, revision workshops run by DSEP in Term 2, and module revision lectures.
Remind that in weeks 9/10 they can arrange individual personal tutor meetings if they want and remind that personal tutors will still be available throughout term 3 during exam time.
